Floating all began in the mid 1950’s by Dr. John C. Lilly, a Neuro Scientist who invented the Sensory Deprivation Tank. The National Institute of Mental Health came up with the term Restricted Environmental Stimulation Technique also known as R.E.S.T.Floating Therapy triggers a deep relaxation response which is much deeper than normal sleep. To understand Theta State in a simple way is to think about how it feels to be on top of a mountain totally absorbed by what’s around you and know that you are connected to the earth, the sky and all that is surrounds you. To know that all is real, just know that everything is. At that moment you are in Theta, a very powerful state.
