ISOLATION TANK INSTRUCTIONS & PREPARATION FOR YOUR FLOAT EXPERIENCE

Float Wellness & Massage is a calm space where you can unwind. From the minute you walk in our door, you’re greeted with the soothing sights, sounds of calm and natural plants.

Our knowledgeable staff will guide you through the floating protocol and if it’s your first float they will give you some great tips on getting the most out of your experience. Floating is a new experience for many of us and it might take a little practice to get the hang of letting go!

There is water and tea available for after your float in the lounge where you are welcome to rest for as long as you need.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

When you arrive at Float Wellness & Massage, please remove your shoes and use the slippers that are provided at the door and use the hand sanitizer. Please keep your voice low to encourage the peacefulness of the space, and to respect other guests while they’re floating and enjoying other services. Also, please turn off your cell phone.

Please use the restroom before you float (60-90 minutes is a long time…)

Please remove glasses, contact lenses and jewelery before you float.

THE FLOAT EXPERIENCE

When you’re shown into the float rooms, our staff will give you detailed instructions about how to get the most out of the experience – so you’ll always know what you need to do. (Spoiler alert: the most important thing is to just let go, and relax!)

Each of our float rooms is equipped with a shower. Please shower thoroughly before using the tank. You’re welcome to use our provided shampoo and soap, but please save the conditioner until after your float. Also, please don’t put lotion on before your float.

Please shower again after your float to remove excess salt. You’re welcome to use our provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We do encourage you to bring a brush or comb for your hair after your float and if you wish to bring a blowdryer we do have a space for you to plugin and style your hair before re-entering the world.

OUR FLOAT TANKS:

The i-sopod Float Tanks are filled with 10-12 inches of water heated to your skin temperature. As the water is the same temperature as your skin, there may come a point in your session when you don’t even feel the water touching your skin!

There is 1100 pounds of Epsom Salt dissolved in each float tank, making the water feel very silky and four times more buoyant than the Dead Sea.

There is an LED light inside the tank which you can choose to keep on or off. You can also enjoy a whole range of coloured light, should you choose to keep it on. We recommend keeping the tank lid closed to help regulate the water temperature. However, if you have issues with small confined spaces, it is fine to leave it open. The tanks are large enough to comfortably accommodate most people. We also provide a foam neck support should you prefer to rest your head on it. Our tanks are fully filtered between each float therapy session.
